EIS provides a number of options for Unified Communications and assisting campus community members with getting the most out of their cellular contracts.
Skype for Business Unified Communications
EIS is in the process of converting the Western campus community toward Skype for Business (S4B). S4B provides a shared collaboration platform for voice, video, rich meetings (White Boards and Screen sharing), and distance learning.
Originally commissioned in 2001, Western's venerable Nortel 1000 provides the majority of the campus community traditional voice and voice mail services through CallPilot.
Skype for Business Mobile app can be installed on your personal device allowing you to make and receive calls from your office number on your personal cellphone.
Western employees and students are also eligible for discounts from major cellphone carriers.
